Dear Friend of PST, We're coming into the final stretch of our season and we'd like nothing more than to see you at a show! Mark your calendars for Urban Tellers®: May 9th, June 13th, and July 11th, each one promises to be an evening of extraordinary stories from ordinary people, just like you. We had a chance to attend TEDxMtHood and hear some ideas worth knowing, including a talk by our own Sabina Haque, artist and storyteller. We're looking forward to partnering with TEDx in September. Our excursion over to Bend with The Essex was met with great enthusiasm, a sold-out house, and an invitation to return next year! Stay turned for more details about next season's shows, workshops, and other cool stuff that you can be a part of.

Buy TicketsCheryl Strayed had it right when she said, “Don't surrender all your joy for an idea you used to have about yourself that isn't true anymore.” The stories that people tell at Urban Tellers®  are personal narratives shaped by the truth and perspective of the present moment.
This month, we have an wonderful group of people: Steve Laskey, Mary McGill, Mark Cooper, Amanda Starr, Rich McPherson, and Sarah Schoenfeld, with stories about baby ultimatums, burdensome secrets, pouting in the back seat, messages from the other side, and conjuring fire out of the trees.
Join us on May 9th over at the Alberta Abbey. 21+ only.

Storytelling Workshops
Story House - Workshop SpaceDiscover your personal story and learn how to craft a new narrative using our unique creative method. Led by Portland Story Theater Founders, Lawrence Howard and Lynne Duddy, you will receive over 30 hours of coaching. Each workshop culminates in a show at the Alberta Abbey, where you’ll tell your story before a live audience. Every story is recorded and posted online. But it's the experience of opening your heart voice that is transformative. The Art of Personal Narrative workshop that starts on May 19th has 1 space left.
Call 503-284-2226 to claim it! Our last workshop before the fall, starting on June 17th, has 3 spaces available.
